Montfort Advises on The Friedkin Group’s Acquisition of AS Roma for €591m


Montfort Communications, the fast-growing corporate reputation firm, today announces that it advised The Friedkin Group Inc on its acquisition of AS Roma, the leading Italian football club, for a total consideration of €591m.

The deal, through which The Friedkin Group acquired approximately 86.6 percent of AS Roma’s share capital, was first announced on the 6 August 2020 and completed on the 17 August 2020.

The Friedkin Group is a privately held consortium of businesses and investments owned by Dan Friedkin, Chairman and CEO. The Friedkin Group includes one of the world’s largest independent Toyota distributors, a collection of award-winning luxury resorts, and leading entertainment companies responsible for the critically-acclaimed films All the Money in the World, The Mule, the upcoming Killers of the Flower Moon, as well as distributing the Oscar-winning film Parasite.

AS Roma (Associazione Sportiva Roma) is a top-tier, Italian professional football club based in Rome and founded in 1927. AS Roma has won three Serie A league championships and is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
